2021 Year in Review!
Hey everyone, I’m Mike, she’s Sophie, and that’s Brenda, and we’re On the Road with Mickey! This is episode 103 for January 3, 2022, and our feature topic is our 2021 Year in Review! First, though, we wish to say Happy New Year! We hope you all have a great, prosperous, and safe new year! We are looking at our 2021 Year in Review to work up a scorecard of sorts of the positive things and the not-so-positive things we experienced in 2021! Have a listen, and let us know in the comments what you think! Here’s the rundown of what we talked about:
- Update from Last Week:
- We discussed the Country Bear Jamboree last week, and in it, I learned that I would be Big Al if I were a character on the show. I asked in the FB Group which character you would be, and the race is close between Trixie and, yes, you guessed it, Big Al! As of right now, though, the leader is Trixie!
- Also, I asked what is on your list to do in 2022, and you responded!
- Sheila said: “Festival of the Arts. I have never done it and it looks amazing.”
- Ivon said: “To go on a Disney Cruise! That’s on my Disney Bucket-list.”
- Pam said: “Dawn of Life, Cirque du Soleil on March 26th. (During Flower and Garden festival).”
- Jenifer said: “Savi’s, the fireworks shows, and Ratatouille are this year’s hope. We did COVID Disney for our first Disney and they weren’t happening so we never did the parks in the dark. Want to do a cruise some time but…”
- Cindy said: “Rise of the Resistance, The Candlelight Processional and The Festival of Arts”
- Chrissy said: “Everything, especially getting a reservation at Space 220 finally.”
- Cheddar from the Big Cheese
- Mike: In case you missed it, yesterday, Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park reopened! Are you a fan of going to the water parks on your trips? Let us know!
- Brenda: Refurbishment reminders: February 14-18, 2022 – BTMRR will be closed for routine maintenance. January 23-28, 2022 – Skyliner service between Caribbean Beach Resort, Riviera Resort, and EPCOT will be unavailable. January 10 – February 10, 2022, Splash Mountain will be closed for routine maintenance. Lastly, January 4 – Mid April, 2022, Expedition Everest will be closed for a lengthy refurbishment.
- Sophie: Don’t forget, the new Star Wars show “The Book of Boba Fett” started on December 29th, and like the Mandalorian, it has weekly episodes throughout the month of January. That is just part of an exciting lineup of shows coming to Disney+ in January!
