Hey everyone, I’m Mike, she’s Sophie, and that’s Brenda, and we’re On the Road with Mickey! This is Season 2, Episode 17 for April 26, 2021, and our feature topic today is our Top Disney TV Shows! We’re talking about some of the TV shows that Disney has put out over the years, and which ones are our favorites! Grab a drink, relax, and join us as we talk about all the things that we came up with! Here’s our rundown of what we talked about:

Cheddar from the Big Cheese
- Mike: Rumor Mill time: The California Department of Public Health released this information regarding fully vaccinated out-of-state visitors: “Fully vaccinated persons from out of state may visit or attend activities or events that are restricted to in-state visitors. Fully vaccinated persons should consult the current CDPH Travel Advisory and adhere to any applicable recommendations.” At this time, Disney has not updated any of their website information to allow out-of-state visitors at this time.
- Sophie: Brenda alerted us to this incredible news! “A Celebration of Festival of the Lion King” will be opening in mid-May! Brenda, we can’t wait to hear all about the show when you visit!
- Brenda: April 22nd was Earth Day, but it was also the 23rd Birthday of Disney’s Animal Kingdom Park. Just a reminder that my #1 Attraction for Disney’s Animal Kingdom is Expedition Everest!
- Brenda: Direct quote from Jeff Vahle, the President of Walt Disney World Resort: “On a recent trip to Magic Kingdom, I stopped by to check in with the Engineering team overseeing the refurbishment of the Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover, previously called the “WEDway PeopleMover” when I first rode it as a teenager. Thrilled that this team has it ready to delight a new generation when it reopens later this weekend!”

Top 10 Disney Snacks!

Hey everyone, I’m Mike, she’s Sophie, and that’s Brenda, and we’re On the Road with Mickey! This is Season 2, Episode 16 for April 19, 2021, and our feature topic today is our Top 10 Disney Snacks! We’re talking about one of our favorite things — food — and categorizing what our top 10 Disney snacks are! Grab a drink (or should I say snack?), relax, and join us as we talk about all the things that we came up with! Here’s our rundown of what we talked about:

Cheddar from the Big Cheese
- Mike: Animal Kingdom announced that a brand new baby Mandrill was born on April 10th! Her name is Ivy, and she was born to first time mom Hazel and dad Linus.
- Sophie: Out west, we’ve learned that while the park has been closed, the Ghosts at the Haunted Mansion have been working on some improvements to the mansion and estate! New tombstones can be seen featuring some newly departed pets, and new decorations adorn inside the mansion.
- Brenda: Recently, testing resumed on the People Mover! Hopefully this is a sign that it is almost ready to open!
- Mike: Lastly, over at Universal, the Loews Sapphire Falls Resort is set to reopen on May 18th! This is great news. Also, a reminder that the Jurassic World VelociCoaster opens up on June 10!

- Mike: Mears announced that they will be offering a replacement to Disney’s Magical Express starting in January. Called Mears Connect, it will be available to schedule reservations starting in May. Pricing is unknown at this time.
- Sophie: On April 8th, Expedition Everest at Animal Kingdom celebrated it’s 15th anniversary!
- Brenda: Avengers Campus at Disneyland Resort opening date: June 4, 2021!
- Mike: Lastly, also on the 8th, Disney revised it’s mask policy. If you are taking a picture, you can now remove your mask for the photo. Once the picture is taken, though, you need to put your mask back on.

- Mike: The Flower and Garden Festival at Epcot ends on July 5th, but the Food and Wine Festival will start up on July 15th! This year’s event will run until November 20th.
- Sophie: Universal Studios Hollywood is reopening on April 16th!
- Brenda: Big rumors that the PeopleMover will be reopening at the Magic Kingdom on Sunday April 4th!
- Mike: Disney has started the MagicMobile service for Apple devices. With this, you can use your phone or Apple Watch to get access to the parks. I’ll be testing this out and let you know how it works and will report back next week.
